TOP 5 EPIC SERVICE WINNERS | December

Richie Monroe

Dept: Guest Services

Nominated by: Natasha Buffo

Richie brought a large food donation to the Employee Center specifically for our Employee Food Pantry! No one asked him, or told him to. He simply said, "last year I did not have food for Thanksgiving. I wanted to make sure others had Thanksgiving food this year, if they want it." He donated canned carrots, green beans, corn, potatoes, canned sliced peaches, bags of stuffing, and also some hot cocoa! The pantry has been empty since the season has started and now it is half full thanks to Richie! He's going to make a lot of employees happy this week.

Rick Hofheins

Dept: Parking and Transportation

Nominate By: Beau Davenport

Rick has helped myself as well as two other employees financially these first couple weeks of the season. He has had no problem helping any of the parking employees be comfortable during and outside of work.

Mariah Severt

Dept: Lift Maintenance

Nominated By: Tony Jones

Mariah had noticed some cooking oil had been dumped on the ground near employee housing and was creating a biological and wildlife hazard. She OWNED IT by taking it upon herself to dig up and bag this mess. She PERSONALIZED IT by doing so properly and disposing it according to established guidelines.  She ELEVATED IT by eliminating the hazard to the valley and it's wildlife. Mariah truly Makes the Mountain Proud.

Amanda Caldwell

Dept: Executive

Nominated By: Tom Fortune

Amanda processes hundreds of comp season passes every year which is a cumbersome and thankless duty. And, this year while processing these passes, she discovered one of the people redeeming these passes was taking advantage of the system. Amanda caught this and reported it to the President of the company, who is clarifying the policy with the customer.

AND THE WINNER IS  . . .

FRANK STEVELINK!

Dept: Monte Wolfe's

Nominated By: John Post

A twenty pound turkey was donated to a Vail employee by Gene Reuter for the purpose of providing a Thanksgiving meal to employees. When he heard that the employee's oven was too small, Frank stepped up to not only cook the turkey but open his home for a turkey day gathering. Frank labored all day roasting an epic turkey and coordinated providing fixing to go with the turkey. Fifteen hungry employees ate that evening and enjoyed getting to know each other and watch some football. New friendships were formed and a good time was had by all.

CONGRATS FRANK AND THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO TO MAKE THE MOUNTAIN PROUD!
